Board Meeting

July 18, 2023

Meeting was called to order by President Bob Allison at the LVTA beach at  6:34 pm  Board members present were Geoff Willis, Bob Allison, Dawn Muller, Dave Delorme, Ray Chicoine, Paul Dineen, and Stuart Pratt

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the June 5, 2023 Board meeting were handed out, read and accepted

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $7,782.64

Tax Collector’s Report:

No change, Total collected $10,136.02, 2022 Past due Balance $3,969.64

Old Business

• Patch Anderson lane/Lakeshore, work complete
• Add amendment on sale of property to by-laws web page Geoff Willis
• Purchase No lifeguard on duty sign, and no fishing signs, Association voted to allocate $140 each x2. Bob Allison
• Sani can is now in the proper location
• Dawn Muller found the tax exempt certificate
• Look into sign for top of Maple, members only, tabled until next meeting
• Dock extension, installed by Tom Lafrance
• Spray for poison ivy Geoff Willis

New Business

• Look into T&B motors car towing
• Association voted to put up no trespassing signs
• Clean up trail to the rest of Association Beachfront, Dawn will call Andover Landscaping

Meeting was called to order by President Bob Allison at the LVTA beach at  6:33 pm  Board members present were Geoff Willis, Bob Allison, Dawn Muller, and Dave Delorme

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 7, 2023 Annual meeting were handed out, read and accepted with revisions

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $33,520.63

Tax Collector’s Report:

No change, Total collected $12,927.67, 2022 Past due Balance $2,690.31

Old Business

• Goose spray, was applied during beach cleanup
• Ski club, installed dock and buoys 5/13/23
• Inspected buoys 5/9/23
• Beach cleanup, 5/20/23, 5/21/23 10:00am
• Coventryfest No fireworks
• Stained picnic tables 5/15/23 10:00am
• Patch Anderson lane/Lakeshore, The Association voted to allocate $1,300 for tax on the $20,000 if necessary.
• Thiffeault plumbing donated new Basketball hoop

Meeting was called to order by Acting President Bob Allison at the LVTA beach at  2:00 pm  Board members present were Geoff Willis, Ray Chicoine, Stuart Pratt, Bob Allison, Dawn Muller

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 1, 2022 Annual meeting, and September, 12 2022 Board meeting were handed out, read and accepted

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $35,392.37

Tax Collector’s Report:

Total collected $12,927.67, 2022 Past due Balance $2,690.31

Budget:

2023-2024 Budget passed at 2 mil. 18 yea, 0 nay

Update/discussion Lakeshore drive repair

$20,000 in budget for immediate repairs, which includes the $14,600 voted on by the association last year.

May need to have attorney separate the deed if we turn Lakeshore over to the town after a vote of the association.

Old Business

September 12, 2022

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Kate Sheffield at 6:01 pm at the beach. Board members present were: Dawn Muller, Bob Allison, Geoff Willis, Kate Sheffield

Roll Call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the August 17, 2022 meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $34,361.61

Tax collector’s Report: Not present

Old Business

• Kayak rack, Association voted to hold off on the new Kayak rack that was voted on and approved by the association at the July 20, 2022 board meeting, and look at it again next Spring.
• Sand and stain picnic tables at end of season, Bob will talk to Ian.
• Lawyer that was hired based on an association vote at the August board meeting wrote that we could charge up to 10 mils and can do so in installments to raise revenue to repair road.
• Add to May meeting agenda organize volunteers at the beginning of summer to check parking passes.
• Add agenda to email meeting notifications, continue to update email list
• Send kayak list to board, Geoff Willis
• Basketball hoop needs to be brought to dump, discuss replacement at May meeting.
• Move Kayaks from rack to lower parking area after October 15.
• LVTA.info sign added to bulletin board by Candice Delorme, sign looks great!

New Business

• Docks/Buoys Dawn will have Ski club remove docks/buoys
• Porta pottie Dawn had company remove after summer was over
• Boat moorings Please be mindful of distance between boats, some are moored too close together
• Road repair: at the next meeting to discuss the potential road repair; try to get letter from town stating the towns position on the road. List the dollar amount from the mil rate increase. Apply % of late/no pay in forecast of needed funds, Make sure all amounts use the Oct 1 2022 grand list from town.
• Fall cleanup Sunday October 16 10:00am at the beach. Boats on the rack will be moved to the lower parking area.

Next meeting will be the annual May meeting on May 7, 2023 at 2:00pm.

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Kate Sheffield at 6:31 pm at the beach. Board members present were: Dawn Muller, Bob Allison, Lisa Martin, Stuart Pratt, Geoff Willis, Kate Sheffield, and Ray Chicoine

Roll Call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the July 20, 2022 meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $32,189.55

Tax collector’s Report: Collected 9,738.90, 5,879.08 remaining balance

Old Business

• Kayak rack, $332.56, install at fall cleanup.
• Sand and stain picnic tables at end of season
• Patch Anderson lane/Lakeshore Special meeting needed to obtain funds to repave road, approximately $40,000 after we hear from lawyer
• Add to May meeting agenda to vote on hiring someone on weekends to check passes, $2000.

New Business

• Hire lawyer for up to $500, using refund from coventryfest donation, to make sure special assessment for Lakeshore repaving is done properly.
• Send email to Association the day after each board meeting with next meeting date -gfw
• Send kayak list to board -gfw
• Discussed charging for kayak stickers, it would make us liable for damage
• Move boats from rack after 10/15
• LVTA.info add sign to bulletin board
• Basketball hoop, look at, report at next meeting -gfw

Roll Call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the June 6, 2022 meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $24,128.36

Tax collector’s Report: Collected 8,192.80, 7,425.18 remaining balance

Old Business

• Goose spray, done
• Kayak rack, $332.56, table until next meeting.
• Coventryfest cancelled, we should receive refund for donation
• Bike rack at park tabled
• Sand and stain picnic tables at end of season
• Porta pottie has been moved
• Stairway to beach at end of Hickory, Ray will get quote
• Patch Anderson lane/Lakeshore Voted to repair drains for up to $14,800 out of reserves. Meeting needed to obtain funds to repair road, approximately $40,000, send out letter

• Sign – Cars towed & passes checked
• Add to May meeting agenda to vote on hiring someone on weekends to check passes, $2000.

• Rope for buoys has been replaced

• Bike rack at park $500 allocated

• Stairway to beach at end of Hickory
• Speed limit signs no one got back to us
• Patch Anderson lane/Lakeshore Find out when roads were taken over, get copy of deed. Find out about reimbursement for road repair
