LAKEVIEW TERRACE ASSOCIATION
Board Meeting
October 13, 2009

Meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm. by President Ray Chicoine. Members present were Pat Halpin, Scott Tweed, and Christina Pierce.

This meeting was called to discuss and act upon the transferring of Maple, Hickory, Juniper, Hilltop, Laurel and Crestwood to the Town of Coventry. We went door to door to have a petition signed. Out of 101 property owners eligible to vote 79 voted in favor and 3 voted against, which is 78%.  The petition passed. Ray will let the Town know of our intent.

Other Business:

Mike Martin called Ray and said that there are surveyor pins in or on the paper road Birch. The Board is taking no action until our Annual Meeting in May.

We have received a quote from Shamrock Tree of $500.00 to trim within the association, Derick Pierce will do the same trimming for $450.00. we gave Derrck the go ahead.

Meeting was called to order by President Mike Martin at the beach  6:03 pm  Board members present were Bob Allison, Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce, Michelle Pierce, and Marcia Roy. Jacob Plourde a LTA Member and CHS Student also attended.

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $15,612.18, Savings Account Balance $292.52, CD Balance $15,457.59 Total $31, 262.29

Tax Collector’s Report: 2012-2013 Tax collected $11, 705.56, Prior years Taxes, Interest & Liens $345.50 Total Collected $12,151.06

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the August 12, 2013 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted with corrections.

Old Business:
•    Handrail to beach at end of Lakeview-Tabled to 3024 Budget
•    Guardrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. was repaired cost of $600.00
•    Gaurdino Property Christina to drop Paperwork off at Attorney Rappe Office.
•    Goose Repellant-Michelle to check out shelf life and contact Marcia regarding when to purchase it (this fall or in the spring).
•    Ball Field was mowed by Juan $10.00 to be paid.
•    Mike Martin to install hoop with Jacob Plourde
•    Christina to pick up locks for boat ramp & shed.
•    Picnic Tables-Bob Allison contacted Windham Tech if we supply the material they will make at the cost of labor is $18.00/hr.
•    We received a cancelation notice on LTA Insurance Marcia has contacted the insurance company and it is now in force.

New Business:
•    Another key is need for the Post Office Box money to come out of Office Expense if not there transfer from Beach Funds to Office Expense
•    Sunday September 15 at 11:00 am we will be removing the buoys, docks and stacking the picnic tables.
•    H & M Paving has quoted $6,000.00 to chip and seal Lakeshore Dr. approximately 1000 feet long and 5 feet wide filling all the holes. We have $2,675.00 in the road account and will transfer to the road account $400.00 from the Guardrail $425.00 Mowing and $1,000.00 from Beach for a total of $4500.00 We will have them start between Hickory and Lakeview Dr. and work out from there.
•    Jacob Plourde needs 10 hours of community service for a course at CHS. He is will to donate is time to improve Lakeview Terrace.860-742-
•    Thursday October 17th 6:30 pm at Mike Martins to discuss State Marshall to collect delinquent taxes.
•    2014-2015 Budget Meeting Sunday February 16, 2014 2 Mike Martins
•    Things to discuss at Annual Meeting Sand at beach and raft.

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Allison at Mike Martins’ home at  6:10 pm  Board members present were Pat Halpin, Mike Martin, Christina Pierce and Marcia Roy.

Tax Collector’s Report:  No Report

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the July 25, 2013 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Old Business:
•    Handrail to the beach at the end of Lakeview Dr-Tabled
•    Gaurdrail at the end of Lakeview Dr-Mike Martin will repair this week. Ray Chicoine is meeting with someone to get a price on redoing the guardrails next year.
•    Gaurdino Property-Christina is going to contact Attorney Rappe.
•    Payment for Mowing of Beach & Ball Field-Bob Allison & Jacob Plourde have been paid. Bob is going to see if the individual who cleaned the beach before the fireworks is still staying in the association, if so Marcia Roy is going to get a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Coventry Pizza.

New Business:
•    After some discussion it was decide to purchase Goose Repellant for next year.
•    Mike Martin is going to replace the hoop at the Ball field.
•    2 New locks are going to be purchase 1- for the boat launch the other for the shed.

Next meeting 9-10-13 @ 6:00 pm at the beach, in case of rain at Mike Martins.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the June 13, 2013 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Old Business:
•    The Tax Collector is going to turn over to the State Marshall a list of delinquent tax accounts in January, 2014. These will be accounts that have not paid prior to 2012 taxes.
•    Handrail at the end of Lakeview Drive, there is no monies in the 2013 2014 budget for it. It will have to be allocated in the 2014-2015 Budget.
•    Guardrail needs to be replaced at the end of Lakeview Dr. Ray Chicoine is going to contact CL&P for some light pole to use.
•    Town of Coventry is going to be cutting brush week of 7/29/13 in LTA
•    New Buoys are strung, will be put in next year.
•    Gardino Property- The attorney who handled the case had destroyed the paperwork. We are going to contact a local attorney to look over the paperwork that is filled at the Town Hall.

New Business:
•    Refurbishing of the bulletin board-Tabled
•    Lawn mowing
•    Bob Allison –Ball field 13 times @ $10.00/ $130.00
•    Jacob Willis- $20.00
•    The man who mowed and trimmed along the beach $50.00 Gift Certificate to Coventry Pizza
•    Robert Mazzone from Lakeview Heights complained that a tree on Maple Drive was leaning onto his property. Ray Chicoine looked at the tree and informed Mr. Mazzone the Maple Drive is now a town road and he should contact the Town of Coventry

Meeting was called to order by President Mike Martin at his home at  6:13 pm  Board members present were Bob Allison, Ray Chicione, Pat Halpin and Marcia Roy.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 5, 2013 Annual Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurers Report: None

Tax Collectors Report: None

Old Business:
•    State Marshall on collecting delinquent Taxes-Tabled
•    Beach Clean Up was done and buoys are in, but need to be fixed because of the high water. Docks will be put in when there is enough help.
•    Hole at the end of Juniper and Lakeshore Dr. was fixed by the Town of Coventry
•    Handrail to Beach at end of Lakeview Dr.-Tabled until money is available
•    Guardrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. should be fixed this weekend.

New Business:
•    Refurbish of Bulletin Board-Tabled until we can find someone to do it.
•    Coventry Fest Fence will be put up on Thursday June 27 @ 6:00 pm, we will be looking for help on 6/29 the afternoon and night of the Fireworks, also Sunday morning at 10:00 am for Clean Up
•    Paperwork for LTA Insurance 2013-2014 Policy was filled out. Mike Martin is the make copies before submitting it.
•    Next Board meeting will be 7/25/13 @ Mike Martins home at 6:00 pm.

Much discussion followed regarding the condition of Lakeshore Drive, in front of 63 and near the corner of Juniper Dr. Ray Chicoine has sent an e-mail to the Public Works Dept. asking if Town Employees would work after hours to fix this road and what the cost would be. Mike Martin is going to go to the Town to discuss this. Also it was decided that association members would mow both the beach and the ball field and LTA would reimburse for gas. After much discussion it was decide to raise LTA Taxes to 1.25 Mills the approximate
$2500.00 would be for Road Improvements.

Old Business
Crestwood Drive was turned over to the Town of Coventry on October 2013.
Association Members are going to mow the Beach and Ball Field
State Marshall has not been contacted to collect delinquent taxes,

New Business
Refurbishing of Bulletin Board-Tabled
Beach Clean Up May 18 & 19th at 9:00 am.
An Association member asked the board to consider installing a handrail onto the beach at the end of Lakeview Dr.

Election of Officers
Bob Allision, Mike Martin, and Marcia Roy have been reelected as Board Members and Michelle Pierce has been re-elected as the Alternate Member.
