July 23, 2012

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Allison at the beach at  7:04 pm  Board members present were   Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce and Michelle Pierce

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the June 10, 2012 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted with correction.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account $7,003.87, Savings Account: $292.52, CD $15,450.04 Grand Total $22,746.43.

Old Business:
1) Lakeview Terrace By-Laws-Bob Allison  is making current By-Laws into Word Document once that is complete committee will be formed to discuss them.
2) Driveway at 63 Lakeshore Drive Owner of the property will not cut in a driveway off of Lakeshore at this time.
3) Foreclosure of 148 Hickory Drive-Tabled
4) Buoys have arrived will install in 2013.
5) New Signage cost is $45.00/ for the LTA Rules-3, $20.00/ for dock sign Loading and unloading only-2, $35.00/ do not enter-1 $20.00/ No Diving from dock-1 and a pole. Cost will not exceed $300.00.
6) Coventry Fest- Everything went well.
7) Update of LTA Insurance –Tabled
8) Mowing of Beach and Ball field – Outback is doing it No Quote or bill at this time.

New Business:
1) Pot Luck Dinner 7/29 @ 5:00pm
2) May have a Bingo Night in August
3) Next Meeting Sunday 8/26 at 6:00 pm

June 10, 2012

Meeting was called to order by President Mike Martin at the beach at  4:05 pm  Board members present were Bob Allison, Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce, Michelle Pierce and Marcia Roy.

Roll call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 6, 2012 Annual Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account $6,575.46, Savings Account: $292.52, CD $15,417.32 Grand Total $22,285.30.

Tax Collector’s Report: 2011-2012 Year Final Numbers

Old Business:
1)    Revising of By-Laws: last years’ committee never got started Bob Allison will chair this committee and will contact the LTA Members who volunteered last year at the 8/21/11 meeting and see it they wish to work on the committee this year.
2)    Boat and Mooring Policy- A Motion was made to purchase 1 more section of dock at a cost not to exceed $1,000.00. Vote  took place 2- Yes, 4-No
3)    Driveway at 63 Lakeshore Dr- No Update Tabled
4)    Kayak Rack-Has been installed.
5)    Town  Council accepted Crestwood Dr at the June 4, 2012

New Business:
1)     Foreclosure Proceedings at 148 Hickory Dr. after much discussion a motion was made to give Atty. Rappe the paperwork to review cost not to exceed $200.00.
2)     A motion was made to have the State Marshall Collect delinquent taxes accounts when the 2nd lien is placed on the property.
3)     Outhouse to be ordered this week.
4)     Researching to purchase buoys locally. Need to purchase a section of buoys to run to the jetty at the end of Lakeview. Total cost not to exceed $1,000.00.
5)     Motion was made to buy a total of 3 signs 2-are to state the Beach Rules to be put up at jetty at the end of Lakeview and the other at the jetty at the end of Hickory. 1-Sign to be put on the dock-No Diving.
6)     Mowing at Beach and at the Ball Field Looking for 3 Bids lowest bid gets it. We must receive a Certificate of Insurance before working.
7)     Marcia to call for another quote on our Insurance Policy.
8)     Fireworks are June 30th. June 29 put up fence, 30th check cars coming on Anderson Way, July 1 clean up. Marcia the chair volunteers please call her at 860-498-0036
9)     All dog owners must clean up after their dogs.
10)     Next meeting July 8th 6pm at the beach.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 1, 2011 Annual Meeting and the March 25, 2012 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

In 2011-2012 Budget $400.00 was allocated for Canoe/Kayak Rack and $300.00 was allocated for Buoys and additional $400.00 will come out of this years.

Old Business:

Crestwood Dr. has been recommended for acceptance to the Town Council by Todd Penney Town Engineer,

New Business:

Boat and Mooring Policy following lengthy discussion mooring of boats will remain on a first come first serve bases. Much discussion took place regarding stickers for LTA Boats this was tabled.

Beach clean up will be done in 2 Phases
1) May 12 at 2:00 pm steps to be cleaned beach to be raked.
2) May 19 at 9:00 am picnic tables to be moved, buoys to be put in

Other new business Susan Christian a tenant at 63 Lakeshore Dr asked for permission
from the  LTA Board for a curb cut for a driveway. A motion was made to allow a gravel driveway the Town of Coventry Engineer, Todd Penney, must approve the location and drainage before construction. When driveway is being installed holes in front of 63 Lakeshore must be filled. This motion was tabled until more information is received from the Town Engineer.

Next LTA Board Meeting will be June 10, 2012 at 4:00 pm on the beach.

Election of Officers:

Ray Chicoine and Christina Pierce have been re-elected to the Board.

Michelle Pierce has been elected to serve as an alternate member.

The Board met at 105 Lakeview Drive.  Board Members present were: Bob Allison, Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce, and Marcia Roy.. Meeting was called to order at 4:16 pm. by Pat Halpin. This meeting was called to discuss the 2012-3013 Association Budget.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the Special Board Meeting on December 5, 2011 were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: was handed out, read and accepted.

Board Meeting minutes 12-05-2011

Lakeview Terrace Association
Special Board Meeting
December 5, 2011

The Board met at the beach at 10:30 am Board Members present were: Ray Chicoine, Bob Allison, Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce, and Marcia Roy.

An association member has volunteered to remove brush, undergrowth and dead trees from the beachfront. The trees were marked.

Secretary Pat Halpin is going to send a letter to boat owners asking them the remove
their boats so the beachfront can be cleaned.

Landie Construction has cleared the end of Crestwood for a cost of $2,000.00. Todd  Pinney from the Town has come to inspect it and wants a tree to be removed and the grade to be only 10%. Mike Manfgicco has given a quote of $250.00 to remove the tree   and Landie Construction will regrade it at no cost. We will transfer $325.00 from the savings account into the checking the additional $75.00 will be used for the stump removal.

Meeting was called to order by President Ray Chicoine at 10:04 am at 54 Lakeview Drive. Board Members present were Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce< Marcia Roy and Scott Tweed.

Secretary’s Report: Minute of the October 8th Special Board Meeting regarding the CT Water Parcel being donated to the Town of Coventry were handed out and read. They were not accepted because we did not have a quorum.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $5,819.02, Savings Account Balance $2,716.74, CD Balance $15,319.57 for a Total of $23,855.33 Treasurer’s report was approved and accepted.

Tax Collector’s report was approved and accepted.

The Planning and Zoning Commission voted on October 11, 2011 to accept CT Water donation of .08 acres at the corner of Hilltop and Lakeview Dr. adjacent to our ball field. Ct Water is going to cap the well. This will be used by the town as open space, this is not a buildable parcel, at some point in the future the town may allow abutting property owners to purchase it.

The purpose of this Special Board Meeting was to discuss and vote on the clearing of the end of Crestwood Dr. To make it into a hammerhead so the Town of Coventry will accept the road. A motion was made to add $2,100.00 from the checking account into the road account to get Crestwood ready to transfer to the Town of Coventry. 4 Board Members voted in favor, there was one abstention.

Board Meeting minutes 10-08-2011

Special Board Meeting
October 8, 2011

Meeting was called to order by President Ray Chicoine at 9:16 am at 54 Lakeview Drive. Board Members present were Bob Allison, Pat Halpin and Christina Pierce.

This meeting was called to discuss an e-mail Ray received from Darby Polinsky who is member of Coventry Planning & Zoning Committee. Connecticut Water asked the Town of Coventry if they want .08 acres (72’ x 50’) on the corner of Hilltop and Lakeview Dr. on which a well is located.

Christina has gone to the Assessor Office to see what CT Water is being assessed on the parcel and they are paying taxes on both that parcel and the ball field, therefore it appears to be over accessed.

Ray is going to Town Hall on 10/11 and get the current assessment value for the parcel.

The Oleskewskis’ placed a bid on July 25th for $1,200.00 on the parcel.
The Town received a letter on August 3rd asking if they wanted the parcel donated to them by the Water Company, if they abandon and cap the well.

Ray is going to the Planning and Zoning Meeting on Tuesday October 11th and ask them to table the donation.
