Board Meeting
August 19, 2014

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Allison at 6:36 pm at the beach. Board members present were: Bob Allison, Marcia Roy, Geoff Willis, Sean Butler.

Roll Call of Board Members took place.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the July 29, 2014 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $12,713.55, Savings Account balance is $292.52 and CD Balance is $15,465.45.

Old Business
• Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. Geoff Willis will look into safety standards .
• New Picnic Tables, at Bob Allison’s house, stain has been purchased.
• State Marshall on collecting delinquent Taxes revisit in the future.
• Reflectors for Chain at boat launch Sean Butler will install.
• Refurbish of the Bulletin Board – Geoff Willis will reface.
• 3 signs will be procured for the beach: no dogs allowed. On hold.
• Reminder about parking passes/rules to be permanently added to Bulletin Board.

New Business
• 2 of the old picnic tables will be moved to the ball field.
• Beach Cleanup 9/21 at 10:30 am.

Next meeting will be Tuesday September 23, 2014 @ 6:30 pm at the beach

July 29, 2014

Meeting was called to order by President Mike Martin at 6:36 pm at the beach. Board members present were: Mike Martin, Christina Pierce, Scott Tweed, Marcia Roy, Bob Allison and Geoff Willis.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the June 5, 2014 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $10,641.76, Savings Account balance is $292.52 and CD Balance is $15,465.45.

• Coventryfest was a fun, successful day at the Beach thank you to all that helped.

• Meeting Reminders will be sent a week before each meeting by the Secretary.
• Potholes in front of 42 Hickory have been fixed.

June 5, 2014

Meeting was called to order by President Mike Martin at 6:41 pm at the beach.  Board Members present were Mike Martin, Marcia Roy, Christina Pierce, Bob Allison, Scott Tweed, and Geoff Willis

 Roll Call of Board Members took place.

 Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account Balance $11,945.64, Savings Account Balance $292.52 CD Balance $15,460.83

 Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 4, 2014 Annual Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Tax Collectors Report: Tax bills and beach passes have been mailed out, Nothing further to report

Old Business:

• Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. Geoff Willis will look into safety standards required for installation.
• Goose Repellant Bird B Gone has been ordered, and will arrive soon.
• Mowing of Beach and Ball Field Zachary Tweed will be mowing the Beach and Ball Field.
• New Picnic Tables, $175.00 from an individual in Coventry who will deliver. Bob Allison will order, with delivery to be scheduled after July 1.
• New Basketball hoop installed by Bob Allison, Geoff Willis, and Jacob Plourde
• Locks for the boat ramp and ball field were purchased by Christina Pierce, see Bob Allison for access to the ball field shed.

New Business:

• Refurbish of the Bulletin Board – Geoff Willis will rebuild.
• Porta Potty has been delivered.
• Coventryfest: Fencing will be put up Friday 6/27 at 7:00 pm. Volunteers needed for checking beach passes on Saturday 6/28. There will be 3 shifts, 11-3, 3-6, 6-10. Beach cleanup will be Sunday 6/29 at 10:00 am.
• Email list Scott Tweed will send out a list of email addresses that we have.
• Meeting Reminders will be sent a week before each meeting by the Secretary along with the meeting agenda.
• Potholes in front of 42 Hickory are becoming a problem. Mike Martin will contact the town garage.
• Volunteers needed to install the dock. Poles are next to shed at ballfield, hardware is at Mike Martins house.
• 3 signs will be procured for the beach to remind residents that no dogs are allowed at the beach area. Mike Martin will arrange for the signs to be purchased

Next meeting will be Tuesday July 29 on the beach.

Discussion took place regarding the Budget. The tree at the park was removed and came out of the 2013-2014 Budget, so 2014-2015 Budget will be reduced to $12, 600.00. Proposed Mil Rate will be set at 1 Mil.

Old Business:

Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. We need a proposal of cost to make and install.

Goose Repellant- Bird B Gone 4 gallons approximately $400.00. We will order it.

Hoop to be installed at Ball Field next week

Need 2 New Locks 1- Boat Ramp, 2nd at the Shed will buy 2 Combos approximately $35.00/

Mowing of beach and ball field- Bob Allison will chair. We need a Certificate of Insurance

State Marshall to collect back taxes- Christina will contact.

New Business:

 Election of Officers: 2 positions are opened. Scott Tweed was re-elected and Geoff Willis was elected.

Board Meeting
October 22, 2013

Meeting was called to order by Bob Allison at Mike Martins  6:35 pm  Board members present were Bob Allison, Ray Chicione, Pat Halpin, Christina Pierce, Michelle Pierce, and Marcia Roy.

This Special Meeting was called to discuss State Marshall to collect delinquent taxes.

There are 11 Accounts that have not paid their association taxes prior to 2012 for a grand total of $8,528.97. The Board decided to send the State Marshall to collect the delinquent taxes.

Also, discussed was a tree at the park that has split and part of it came down on an association members’ vehicle. The tree is in CL&P wires. Bob Allison is going to call CL&P.
