Board Meeting

June 4, 2015

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Allison at 6:30 pm at the ball field. Board members present were: Bob Allison, Marcia Roy, Geoff Willis, Scott Tweed.

 Roll Call of Board Members took place.

 Treasurer’s Report: Checking Account balance is $13,349.22, Savings Account balance is $292.52 and CD Balance is $15,471.17.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the May 3, 2015 Annual Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

Tax Collector’s Report: None, Tax Collector wasn’t present.

Old Business

• Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr.: Discuss Options at next meeting.
• Dock: Sean Butler contacted ski club, which did a great job putting in the Dock and buoys.
• Picnic tables 2 will be purchased for a total of less than $320 after July 1.
• New Bulletin Board: See if we can return the new one, Stuart Pratt and Scott Tweed will co-ordinate to see if building a new one can be done for a reasonable price.
• Beach cleanup went well.
• Porta potty: Marcia ordered, and it is in place
• Beach sand, will discuss at next meeting
• Swimming area: 2 buoys, 18 stickers, floats, locks and rope came in, will be installed next year.
• Signs committee. Signs decided upon, will be ordered after July 1
• Mailing additions to tax bill, Bob Allison composed letter, Geoff Willis created the survey.

New Business

• Coventryfest: 6-27-15 Work party Thursday 6/25/15 7:00 pm, volunteers needed to check beach passes from 3pm 6/27/15. Cleanup Sunday 6/28/15 10:00 am.
• Coventryfest: LVTA will donate $100 to the coventryfest fund.
• State Marshall to collect back taxes: Board will review on case by case basis of 5+ years delinquent taxes. Next meeting
• Pavilion vs. Landscaping: Surveys still coming in
• Potluck: Surveys still coming in
• Tagsale: Surveys still coming in
• Email list: will be ready for distribution at next meeting
• Hobby Day Stuart Pratt suggested having a Hobby Day where residents showcase their hobbies at the ball field. Discuss at next meeting.
• Tax Collector position: We have 2 candidates interested in the position.

Next meeting will be Tuesday July 7, 2015 @ 6:30 pm at the ball field.

Discussion took place regarding the Budget. Proposed Mil Rate will be set at 1 Mil, shortfall to come from reserve. Budget accepted.

Old Business:

• Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. Options will be discussed at June meeting.

• State Marshall to collect back taxes- Board will review at June meeting on case by case basis of 5+ years delinquent taxes.

• Beach cleanup 5/7 at 6:30pm and 5/16 9:00am
• Porta potty Marcia will order on May 15^th, Mike martin will clean and mark area where it is to be installed

• Swimming area: 2 buoys, 18 stickers, floats, locks and rope needed for a total of $2900 $1500 from reserve will be moved into 2014-2015 beach budget to accommodate shortfall.
• Signs committee will meet on 5/7 at 6:30 after we unlock picnic tables.
• Pavilion vs. Landscaping, will discuss at June meeting

Election of Officers: 2 alternate positions are opened. Sean Butler to move from alternate board member, to board member.

 Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Allison at 6:36 pm at the beach. Board members present were: Bob Allison, Marcia Roy, Geoff Willis, Christina Pierce, Ray Chicoine, Scott Tweed.

Secretary’s Report: Minutes of the August 19, 2014 Board Meeting were handed out, read and accepted.

 Old Business

• Handrail at the end of Lakeview Dr. Geoff Willis will look into safety standards, run design by town inspector.
• New Picnic Tables, Stained, installed at beach, old tables moved to ball field.
• State Marshall on collecting delinquent Taxes revisit in January.
• Reflectors for Chain at boat launch Sean Butler has installed.
• Refurbish of the Bulletin Board – Geoff Willis will reface.
• 3 signs will be procured for the beach: no dogs/fishing allowed. Revisit in spring.
• Reminder about parking passes/rules to be permanently added to Bulletin Board.
• Beach cleanup was a success, more help needed next year, contact school, scouts for possible community service project.

 New Business

• Annual meeting reminders need to go out.
• Hardware needed for buoys next year
• Work party for beach October 5, 10:30 a.m.
• Dock storage, Bob will call Mike, ask him to check schedule for a time we can move the dock

Next meeting will be February 22, 2014 @ 2:00 pm at Marcia Roy’s house.
